A good conversation can often make us feel better. It can inspire us to look at how we feel about something, provide clarity, encouragement, and comfort.
However, do you ever notice when talking to someone, they interrupt with "Oh, that happened to me...” right when you are in the middle of expressing yourself? Suddenly it’s become about them (after all, it's rude not to share...). Even when we do have their attention, sometimes we may not be able to fully confide in the people around us - they may judge, worry, feel jealous, or have too much going on themselves to be present.
